KHAOSOK NATIONAL PARK CONSISTS OF THE OLDEST RAINFOREST IN THE WORLD WITH MAJESTIC LIMESTONE CLIFFS RAISING STRAIGHT UP IN THE AIR, WATERFALLS, DEEP VALLEYS, EXCITING CAVES, WILD ANIMALS AND MUCH MORE

This is an adventurous trip in an impressive world class nature destination you shouldn’t miss. Meet our elephants, learn how they live, observe, feed, wash and ride them. After jungle lunch we canoe down the “Sok River” to discover more wildlife

Trip Duration – Full Day (08:30 – 17:00)

Morning Session
We pick you up early from your hotel in Khaolak and drive northwards. Visit Takuapa Local Market, the first stop to sample some Thai delicacies in the town’s major market. Charming – Authentic – Local. We arrive at our own Elephant Camp at the border of Khaosok National Park. The “Unseen Elephant Encounter” allows you to observe, touch, smell, hear, wash and feed our 20 well trained elephants. Learn how elephants live, how the dung is made into paper and fertilizer and why they became the heraldic animals of Thailand. Of course an elephant ride on land and through a river is part of the experience.

We continue on towards the Khaosok National Park, passing hills with picturesque views of the valleys and limestone crags. Lunchtime: at a small restaurant on the “Sok River” bench we indulge in the local cuisine. We show you how to prepare an authentic Thai meal with rice cooked in Bamboo. This “cooking show” completes our jungle-style lunch

Afternoon Session
After luncheon is the right time to explore the dense Sok forest on a canoe, our professional paddlers will lead you to spectacular points along the stream. On the way we stop at photogenic spots for picture-perfect moments. The first stop will be at a temple close to the river, where you have a chance to feed the local red-fin carp and during the second stop we explore a small cave on the river bench. Here we brew coffee or tea on an open fire, which is served in a bamboo cup. While canoeing you will have a chance to see great hornbills, various kinds of birds, reptiles and sometime mammals. At our final destination we take a short rest, also you might want to take a swim before getting on board for our return back to Khaolak
